A bill for a law to establish the Anambra Indigenous Traditional Medicine Practices regulatory agency and for other related matters has been red for the third time and passed into law.
Angel Network News (ANN) reports that the bill was passed on Thursday after the consideration of the report on the joint House Committee on Judiciary and Justice, and the Committee on Health.
It will be recalled that Anambra Assembly Speaker, Rt. Hon. Somtochukwu Udeze at plenary on the 20th of November 2024, after the second reading of the bill, referred it to the joint Committee on Judiciary and Justice, Chaired by Hon. Patrick Okafor and the Committee on Health headed by Hon. Tony Muobike
Hon. Okafor while speaking at the Committee of the Whole, stated that after deliberation and considerations some amendments were proposed.
Anambra Assembly Speaker Rt Hon. Somtochukwu Udeze said the law will take effect from the 27th of March 2025.
