The member representing Njikoka Two Constituency at the Anambra State House of Assembly, Hon. Jude Akpua on Wednesday 18th December 2024, distributed over 1,000 bags of rice and cash to his constituents.
The All Progressives Grand Alliance party executives, old and new Chairmen at ward level, Councillors, Stakeholders, Coordinators and APGA Njikoka Working Committee also benefited from the gifts from Hon. Akpua, who is also the Deputy Majority Leader of the 8th Assembly.
In his speech, Hon. Akpua who tagged the exercise “A Day with House Member” noted that the programme became necessary considering the season of the moment, the birth of Christ which called for love, charity and generosity for overall happiness and joy of mankind.
The Deputy Majority Leader thanked the APGA party in the area for their unwavering dedication, unflinching commitment and unswerving loyalty to the APGA party and assured them that APGA’s hegemony and leadership would continue to improve the lives of everyone.
The lawmaker opined that he was prompted to dole out such a gift to appreciate APGA Executives in Umuowelle and APGA Njikoka Working Committee due to the need to reward true loyalty as the party wouldn’t have attained its height without the earnest effort and dedication of party men and women.
He highlighted some of his achievements in the Parliament within one year in office, commissioning lock-up shops in Abba, modern water borehole systems, Ultra modern Solar powered street lights in the wards of his Constituency coupled with his facilitation of civil service enrollment of his Constituents, his scholarship scheme for indigent students across Umuowelle, facilitation for admission of youths into Universities and attraction of Awkuzu, Abba, Ukpo and Abagana road
Akpua used the opportunity to thank the people of his Constituents for their support and admonished them to always come to him for purposeful assistance as he was elected to serve them and serve diligently.
Addressing the people, The Executive Chairman of Njikoka Local Government Area, Hon. Barr. Dominic Ononiba described the programme, A Day With House Member as unprecedented considering the humongous bags of rice and huge cash.
Ononiba described Akpua as an enigmatic leader of excellence who surprises his Constituents now and then.
The Mayor noted that such a show of compassion and evidential generosity was substantial, laudable and appreciable and swiftly prayed God to bless the lawmaker whom he said has shown enormous capacity, munificence and responsibility in leadership cum representation of Umuowelle at the State House of Assembly.
Also speaking, The Vice Chairman of APGA Anambra Central, Chief Nduka Okoye commended Hon. Dr. Jude Akpua for his incalculable exploits since the inception of his representation.
Okoye described the lawmaker as a phenomenal legislator with mastery of legislative business and unquenchable zeal to develop his Constituency and put smiles on the faces of his people even at this yuletide.
Chief Nduka Okoye noted that APGA ascendency remained strong. He
extolled Governor Chukwuma Soludo for his developmental track record that resonated with ndi Anambra State and called for more support for the ongoing supersonic transformation of Anambra into Smart Megacity.
Other dignitaries who commended Hon. Jude Akpua for his indescribable magnanimity and representative excellence were Hon.
