Excitement during last weekend took centre stage in Egbengwu village, Nimo as Hon. Jude Akpua PhD pledges five million naira and five of their children who are in the tertiary institution also awarded scholarships from the Honourable Member Representing Njikoka 11 Constituency in Anambra State House Of Assembly, Hon. Dr. Jude Akpua.
ANN reports that the people extolled the Honourable for his focused, people-oriented, compassionate, dedicated and responsible style of representation .
Welcoming Honourable Dr. Jude Akpua, the President General of Nimo Development Union, Engr. Dan Anakpe and Chairman of Egbengwu village Nimo, Mr. Ekene Obeleagu lauded the Honourable Member Representing Njikoka Two Constituency for his eventful and vibrant representation, saying that so far, the Honourable has proved that he meant well for Umuowelle considering his keen devotion to the desire of their people, show of commitment and evidential diligence in nudging Umuowelle’s aspirations and concerns .
In his speech, the chairman of ward 4 Nimo, Mr. Atupuluazu Anthony, noted that the grand reception was necessary due to the consequential victory of Hon. Dr. Jude Akpua in the 2023 state House Of Assembly election , he happily noted that the victory was stark manifestation of the wish of the people and so should be celebrated as no one abhors the manifestation of his wish . He added that the overwhelming support of Egbengwu village and Nimo Community in entirety would remain imperishable and indelible in the political history of the emergence of Hon. Jude Akpua as Member Representing Njikoka Two Constituency in Anambra State House Of Assembly.
In his reaction, Hon. Dr. Jude Akpua thanked the people of the area for their consistent and vehement support of APGA led government and most importantly their verifiable show of support during the electioneering period that brought him to power . He vowed to stop at nothing in driving a responsible and qualitative representation of Umuowelle, saying that he appreciated the enormity of his responsibility and would continue to discharge his duty with every sense of responsibility and integrity . He added that he was poised to leave Umuowelle far more better than he met it through conscious lobby of the state government for humongous and conspicuous transformation of Umuowelle. He noted that he would continue to run a responsible representation of his Constituency. Hon. Dr. Jude Akpua later earmarked five million naira for any project of the people’s choice and awarded scholarship to five students of the area.
Others who spoke at the function included APGA Njikoka Local Government Chairman , Pharm. Chinedu Anaekwe, APGA Women Leader Njikoka, Lady Chinwe Mgbajiaka and host of others . They all eulogized Hon. Dr Jude Akpua for his quintessential and responsive style of representation and admonished him to remain assiduously and diligently committed to the wellbeing of the Constituency as they are overly proud of him and his achievements within the timeframe.
