Anambra Lawmaker Mourns Slain Obosi PG, Condoles With Family, Community

 

Okolo was a committed leader who gave his all to his Community, says Chiekwu 

…the perpetrators will be apprehended and decisively dealt with, Soludo vows 

   

The member representing Idemili North Constituency at the Anambra State House of Assembly, Hon. Ifeanyi Arthur Chiekwu has condoled with Obosi Community over the death of their President General, Hon. Ike Okolo who was reportedly shot dead.

Chiekwu in his condolence message condemned the gruesome murder of late Okolo. He described the deceased as a committed leader who gave his all to his Community. The lawmaker also called for concerted efforts towards nipping in the bud crime and criminality as well as guard against future occurrence.

 ‘On behalf of my constituents I commisserate with the people of Obosi Ukwala, especially his immediate family. My sympathy goes out to them. It is really a sad commentary,’ he said.  

The Lawmaker while condoling with the people of Obosi Community prayed God for the quick repose of the soul of the slained President General and also to grant the family the fortitude to bear what he described as irreparable loss.

It will be recalled that ANN reported that the late President General of Obosi community, Hon. Ike Okolo was reportedly shot dead in a petrol station on Monday, 2nd January, 2022, by gunmen

The Governor of Anambra state Prof. Chukwuma Charles Soludo, CFR also condemned the killing of the slain Obosi PG. In a press release by the chief press secretary to Soludo, Mr. Christian Aburime and made available to ANN stated that the attention of Anambra State Government has  drawn to killings within the State .

Governor Soludo while condemning the mindless killings in the strongest terms, assured that the perpetrators will be apprehended and decisively dealt with, even if they have ran out of town. He stressed that they will be hunted down to face the full wrath of the law.

He called on Ndi Anambra to go about their normal duties and enjoy the season as the challenges are isolated cases that will be nipped in the bud soon.
