The Majority Leader of the Anambra State House of Assembly Hon. Ikenna Ofodeme has organized a Town Hall meeting for members of his constituency.
Angel Network News (ANN) reports that the event which also featured distribution of improved seedlings and plants, with Iwa Ji festival at his compound in Ichi, Ekuwusigo Council area.

while enumerating many bills he has sponsored and that have been passed into Law, appreciated the constituents for their support.
The lawmaker describing Ekwusigo as the most peaceful local government area in the state, stressed the need for stakeholders in the local government to partner with the government to urbanize the council area.
On the New Yam Festival, Ofodeme appreciated God for the bountiful harvest and explained the importance for ndi Anambra to uphold Igbo culture and tradition and to prevent it from going into extinction.
Addressing the gathering, Anambra Commissioner for Agriculture, Hon. Foster Ihejiofor and his Housing counterpart, Hon. Pauly Onyeka applauded the giant strides of Ofodeme and for his initiative to organize the town hall.
They also praised the Majority Leader for towing in the footprints of Governor Chukwuma Soludo to strengthen the state economy through providing bursary investments in agriculture and urged the recipients of the seedlings to ensure they make maximum use of the plants.
Also speaking the Deputy Majority Leader of the State House of Assembly, Hon. Jude Akpua said Ofodeme is doing well in the house and has moved so many bills at the floor of the house and charged the people to give him their maximum support.
The Transition Committee Chairman Ekuwusigo Council area, Hon. Chimezie Obi described the house member as a good representative of his Constituency, saying that he is instrumental to the peace and tranquility in Ichi as he provided the community with good security network and pledged the support of the council area.
The Presidents General of various communities including Chief Chris Ononuju of Ozubulu, Sir Vin Dike of Oraifite and Chief Chijoke Efobi of Ichi described the town hall meeting as the first of its kind in the history of the Constituency, commending the leadership qualities of Governor Soludo and Hon. Ofodeme.
Highpoints of the events were distribution of improved seedlings and Iwa Ji proper by Honorable Ofodeme while masquerades displays added colour to the event.
