The member representing Anambra West Constituency in the State House of Assembly, Hon. Patrick Obalum-Udoba has inspected the 10.5km Mmiata Anam-Nzam road and called on the contractor handling the road project to ensure speedy completion of the road.
Angel Network News reports that Hon. Udoba expressed satisfaction with the quality of work done by the contracting firm handling the project but noted that the work supposed to have exceeded the stage it is at the moment, and charged the contractor to double efforts to ensure its speedy completion.
The legislator who said that Mmiata Anam-Nzam road is one of the most important and critical road project being constructed by the Governor Chukwuma Soludo-led administration because of its strategic nature, said that the road when completed will boost the socioeconomic development of the agrarian people of Anambra West and also aid easy evacuation of farm produce.
According to the Hon. Udoba who is the Chairman, Anwmbra State House of Assembly Committee on Local Government, Chieftaincy and Community Affairs, the 10.5km road when completed would pave way for the local government workers to access their secretariat at Nzam, saying that Nzam is the only local government headquarters in Nigeria that could not be reached by road because of bad access road.
He commended Governor Soludo for the project and called on his constituents to take ownership of the project and other projects being cited in the area by the current administration in the state for the overall good of the people.
Hon. Udoba assured Ndi Anambra west to continue with their support to the Soludo’s government as it has the interest of Ndi Anambra at heart and promised that he will continue to deliver dividends of democracy to his constituency.
