The Anambra State House of Assembly Committee on Lands, Survey and Town Planning has commended Awka Capital Territory Development Authority (ACTDA) for its contributions to urban development in the state.
The Committee Chairman, Hon. Jude Akpua while speaking during the oversight visit to ACTDA office on Thursday, praised the agency progress, particularly under the watch of the Managing Director Mr. Ossy Onuko.
Hon. Akpua noted that ACTDA’s work aligns with Governor Chukwuma Soludo’s vision of making Anambra a livable and prosperous homeland.
“The visit focused on assessing the agency activities, including internally generated revenue, building approvals among others. The committee would thoroughly review the submitted documents before providing further recommendations’. Akpua said.
Responding, Mr. Onuko emphasized the critical role of legislative oversight in governance. He reaffirmed ACTDA’s dedication to transparency and collaboration with the state house of assembly to drive sustainable urban development in the capital territory.
