Some local volunteers has dislodge criminal syndicate who had been camped in a forest between Umuenwelum Anam and Nzam in Anambra West LGA.
The Transition Committee Chairman of Anambra West local government area, Mr. Felix ikechi while commending the volunteers said the gang has been causing a lot of havoc and security threat to the people of the local government for quite some time now.
Speaking after the operation which was organized by the local government, Mr. Ikechi praised the men for their display of bravery in doing the job.
He maintained that Anambra West cannot allow such people to be operating in the area as Governor Chukwuma Soludo administration is doing everything humanly possible to protect the lives and property of Ndi Anambra, and also praised the Commissioner for Local Government, Chieftaincy and Community Affairs, Hon. TonyCollins Nwabunwanne for his support for the successful operation.
Mr. Ikechi advised parents to always montior the activities of their children and wards in order for them not to join bad gangs or groups.
He assured Governor Soludo that Ndi Anambra West are supporting his administration, and asked people of the council area to always provide useful information to security men once they notice any untoward thing within the local government, even as he assured that Amambra West will continue to be safe for people to do their businesses under his watch.
