The traditional ruler of Abacha ancient kingdom in Idemili North LGA, His Majesty Igwe Godwin Nwabunwanne Odiegwu Oranyelueze says peace, harmony, unity and love are necessary components to achieving progress.
Igwe Odiegwu in his speech on Monday April 1st 2024 at the inauguration of Obinwanne age grade, called on all members of Abacha to contribute their quota in making sure that Abacha community moves to greater hights.
Patron of Obinwanne age grade, Dr. Ifeanyichukwu Okeke Obata in his address congratulated the group urging them to be good ambassadors of Abacha community.
Dr. Obata said he is convinced that Obinwanne age grade will attract the expected progress lacking in Abacha. He prayed God to grant wisdom, knowledge and wealth so that the potentials of the group members will be fully utilized.
Patroness of Obinwanne age grade, Iyom Franca Ezeni while speaking, predicted that with the inauguration, Abacha now stand a chance of becoming one of the top developed communities in Anambra State. She encouraged the age grade members to be respectful and loyal to their executive and leadership of the community and prayed for wisdom and the spirit of cooperation.
Chairman of the day, Chief Ugochukwu Okeke represented by Chief Christopher Onyekwelu in his remark said Obinwanne Age Grade members have the potential and the capacity to transform Abacha community. He encouraged the group members to be their brothers keepers, urging them to remain united and focused towards achieving their aims and objectives.
President General (PG) Abacha Development Union (ADU) Chief Ejike Okafor described age grade as an umbrella which unites matured minds towards development of their town. He said the event is all about celebration of unity, brotherhood and togetherness and collective intreast.
Chairman Obinwanne Age Grade Mr. Chibuzo Udo in his address said Abacha deserves to be better than it is, assuring that the community will not remain the same, as all hands will be on deck in attracting development and progress.
“The emergence and inauguration of Obinwanne Age Grade will unite Abacha and if we can put both our human and capital resources together, non of the neighbouring town will over take the community.
“Let us all join hands together in moving our community forward by through ‘Aku’lu’onu’. This will make non indigenes to also invest here.
“Obinwanne Age Grade has agreed to build an ultra murden market worth 20 million and am urging all members of this group to be petrotic in order to end the ills bedeviling our community”. Udo stated
Inauguration Committee Chairman Mr. Chinedu Ezeani in his vote of thanks expressed gratitude to God for the success of the event. He appreciated the efforts of all who contributed to the success of the inauguration and prayed that God will lead all back to their various destinations.
Angel Network News (ANN) reports that Onowu Abacha and past PG’s of the community in their separate speech called for unity of purpose, understanding, love and fear of God from all members of Obinwanne age group.
Other age grade who has been in existence in Abacha community includes; Umuoyibo, Udoka, Ucheora, Igwebuike, Njikoka, Anyibuofu, Ifeadigo, Ofuobi, Omenife and Obinwanne age grades.
