Residents of Anambra State have been informed that the usual monthly environmental Sanitation exercise will hold on Saturday August 26th 2023.
In a release by the MD/CEO Anambra State Waste Management Authority (ASWAMA) Mr. Mike Ozoemena, the exercise will hold simultaneously in all the communities in Anambra State within the hours of 7am – 10am, and no form of vehicular or human movement will be tolerated within these hours.
According to Ozoemena “Let us join hands with the Soludo led administration to actualize a clean, green, and livable and sustainable Anambra for all’.
Transition Committee Chairmen (TCC) of various Local Government Areas are enjoined to ensure proper mobilization and compliance in their areas.
Furthermore, Ndi Anambra are urged to participate fully in the exercise; clean their surroundings, desilt water channels, and properly bag their wastes for adequate collection and disposal by the waste management contractors.
