Thousands of native doctor’s in Anambra State have thrown their weight behind Governor Chukwuma Soludo’s administration.
Angel Network News (ANN) reports that the association during a meeting held in Awka, unanimously supports Soludo’s second term bid, commending his numerous legacies, achievements and opportunities given to them.
They maintained that Soludo is not against traditional institution, custom and tradition and their rights, and that Anambra State House of Assembly has passed a bill that separated them from evil and criminal practices.
The lawmaker representing Ekwusigo constituency in the State House of Assembly, Hon. Ikenna Ofordeme in his address reminded the native doctor’s that they have to protect the tradition culture and customs of Ndi Igbo as their belief and mode of worship.
Hon. Ofodeme who is the Majority Leader of the House, hinted that from the days of yore, ndi Igbo held unto their customs without adding criminal practices.
The lawmaker stated that Governor Chukwuma Soludo is open to accept everybody as he is working for the interest of Anambra and never for once worked against the traditions and culture of ndi Igbo.
He disclosed that they have passed a law that brought together the existence and leadership management of the lives of those who believe that they have the calling to practice traditional medicine which Soludo did not waste time to give ascent to and cautioned those who still hide under the umbrella of the native doctors to perpetrate evil the that law will catch them soon
The Coordinator, Anambra State Native Doctors and Spiritual Material Sellers, Hon. Daniel Ejie, in his remark, said that the passage of homeland security law and establishment of independency of native doctors in the state, reminded them that what the Governor did was to sanitize the system and brought independence.
