Anambra NSCDC Command Mourns Passing Of Amakiri

The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) Anambra Command has mourn the passing of one of Assistant Commandant General Helen Omavuayen Amakiri PhD.

Born in 1966, the Late Hellen Imuavuayen Amakiri was a native of Southern Ijaw LGA in Bayelsa State.

Angel Network News reports that SC Okadigbo Edwin, Public Relations Officer NSCDC Anambra State Command, in a condolence message on behalf of the State Commandant, Comdt. Maku Olatunde, Officers, express deepest sympathy and condolences to the Commandant General of NSCDC on the untimely death of Ag. DCG CNAI Helen Amakiri.

“Late Ag. Helen Amakiri contributed enormously to NSCDC in various capacities and her demise is a huge loss and will be greatly felt.A great compatriot has gone home. Adieu Ag.DCG Helen.

“May God almighty grant the Commandant General, the Corps, and the family the fortitude to bear the irreparable and irreplaceable loss.

ACG Amakiri was the Acting DCG in charge of the Directorate of Critical National Assets and Infrastructure, CNAI; a position she held with utmost dedication and effective service delivery before her sudden demise.

She was enlisted in the NSCDC as a Commission Officer in 2004 and rose through the ranks largely due to her dedication to duty and excellent academic certificates which she obtained at the graduate and postgraduate level from various universities notable among them: the University of Ibadan, University of Benin, University of Calabar among others.

Late ACG Amakiri served in various Senior management levels in the NSCDC amongst which are: ACG Directorate of Administration, National Headquarters Abuja; Rivers State Commandant (2014-2017) and Commandant SERVICOM Unit.

It is on record that during her tenure of office, the NSCDC SERVICOM Unit emerged as the best-performing SERVICOM Unit in all the Ministries, Departments and Agencies in 2011, 2012 and 2013.

The departed ACG attended various trainings both in Nigeria and abroad.

Notably, she was selected as a facilitator/ and doctorate scholar of the Institute of Government and Development Studies who embarked on a training tour at the prestigious Frobenias Institute of Research in Cultural Anthropology, Germany in 2019.

She was a member of the following Professional bodies: Institute of Corporate Administration, Nigeria; Institute of Management ( NIM), Institute of Chartered Mediators and Conciliators ( ICMC) among others.
