“The NSCDC considers it crucial to shield education from insecurity threats and emergency situations. To achieve this, we are intensifying our efforts and boosting our presence in schools to foster secure learning environments.
“In addition, we are implementing concrete measures to protect students, teachers, and schools, while also safeguarding the surrounding communities” the NSCDC boss said.
Maku encouraged everyone in the school community – administrators, teachers, students, and parents – to support government’s policies and security efforts to keep schools safe across the federation.
In her speech, the Principal of Federal Government College Nise, Mrs. Umezurike Gladys, commended NSCDC for its professionalism in providing adequate security and security tips for schools and host communities under the Safe School Project.
Umezurike appreciated the NSCDC for mobilizing both human and material resources to counter the escalating threats facing students, staff, and educational institutions nationwide.
According to the Principal, the collaborative effort between the NSCDC and FGC Nise would protect teachers, students, and school assets, particularly in light of recent security concerns.
