The Anambra State Coordinator of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC), Mrs. Pauline Ojisua, has called for intensified efforts toward promoting moral rectitude among Nigerian youths, stressing the need for strategic sensitisation to address societal ills.
Mrs. Ojisua made the admonition while receiving the State Director of the National Orientation Agency (NOA), Barr. Mrs. Ifeoma Chijioke, during a courtesy visit to the NYSC Anambra State Secretariat on Thursday 26th March 2026..
The NYSC boss noted that while challenges such as drug abuse remain important, greater emphasis should be placed on instilling sound values and correcting negative behaviours among young people through deliberate orientation programmes.
According to Ojisua, NYSC provides a veritable platform to shape the mindset of youths, particularly members of Generation Z, in order to secure a more responsible and value-driven Generation Alpha.
“We should focus more on moral rectitude. Through proper sensitisation, we can correct many of the ills prevalent among our youths. If we get it right with Gen Z, we will certainly get it right with Generation Alpha,” she stated.
The State Coordinator further commended NOA for its longstanding partnership with NYSC, describing the agency as a dependable collaborator that has consistently contributed to the success of its programmes in the state.
In her remarks, the NOA State Director, Barr. Mrs. Ifeoma Chijioke, said the visit was aimed at strengthening collaboration between both agencies. She described NYSC as a core partner and reiterated NOA’s commitment to fostering value reorientation and national development through joint initiatives.
Angel Network News (ANN) reports that the engagement highlights the shared resolve of both organisations to deepen collaboration in promoting youth development and nation-building in Anambra State.
