The Speaker, Anambra State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon Uche Okafor has assured Ndi Anambra that the state legislature would continue to enact laws and resolutions aimed at uplifting the living standard of the citizenry as well as the total development of the state.
In his new year message, Okafor described year 2023 as a year of peace and progress for the state and the citizenry. He called on politicians in the state irrespective of party affiliation, to join hands with Governor Chukwuma Soludo in moving the state to greater heights, adding that the governor has achieved a lot in just nine months in office across all sectors.
Okafor urged various religious bodies in the state to intensify prayers for the continuous peace and progress of the state, noting that with prayers, the state will continue to grow from strength to strength.
The Speaker enjoined security operatives, traditional rulers, Presidents-General to complement Governor Soludo’s wonderful security initiatives by fishing out miscreants in their localities.
While wishing Ndi Anambra a happy and prosperous New Year, the Speaker commended them for the faith they have in Governor Soludo’s administration and enjoined them to pray fervently for the peaceful conduct of the forthcoming general elections.
