The Governor of Anambra State, Prof. Chukwuma Soludo, has been officially sworn in for a second term in office.
The swearing-in ceremony took place on Tuesday 17th march 2026, at the Alex Ekwueme Square in Awka, the state capital. The event, held at the newly renovated square, was attended by top dignitaries from across Nigeria.
Governor Soludo took the oath of office alongside his deputy, Dr. Onyekachukwu Ibezim, with the oath administered by the Chief Judge of the state.
The ceremony attracted prominent personalities, including Vice President Kashim Shettima and former Presidents Olusegun Obasanjo and Goodluck Jonathan, among others.
The inauguration marks the beginning of Soludo’s second tenure following his victory in the November 2025 governorship election.
