In the plenary today an opening prayer was said by the speaker Hon Uche Okafor, he welcomed everyone present.
Hon Somtochukwu Udeze member representing Ogbaru 2 constituency presented the report for consideration of public account committee on audited account of Anambra State of Nigeria for the financial year ended 31st December 2021.
Recall that Angel network news had reported that this report was referred to the public account committee. To check the report and give feedback to the honorable house.
The 7th assembly resolved to a committee of a whole to consider the report of the public account committee on audited account of Anambra State of Nigeria for the financial year ended 31st December 2021.
The Chairman of the public account committee Hon Somtochukwu Udeze said that the committee have done a good job as regards the report, having up to 17 members in the committee. 13 honorable members and 4 core members.
He plead that the house should adopt the report.
The house of assembly adopted the report of the house Committee of public account committee as a working tools, after going through the well articulated paper work.
Also in today’s plenary the presentation and consideration of the Audited account of the 21 local government of Anambra State of the financial year ended 31st of December 2021.
The house resolve to a committee of the whole and the chairman of the public account committee honorable Somtochukwu Udeze said that the observations made was on cash withdrawal from bank which some were not recorded in the cashbook.
The committee also observed other bank reconciliation, under pay roll, internal audit, queries and observations in some of the local government.
Hon Pete Chima Ibida member representing Njikoka 2 constituency acknowledge the job well-done by the committee as articulated document .
He also moved a motion that the house of assembly adopt the report of the public account committee.
Hon Emmanuel Nwafor member representing Orumba south constituency seconded the motion moved by Hon Pete Chima Ibida.
Anambra Assembly finally resolved to adopt the report of the house Public account committee to be a working tool for Anambra State house of assembly.
Hon Godwin Nnamdi Okafor member representing Awka south 1 constituency moved a motion that the house be adjourned to Tuesday 22nd of March 2022.
Hon Nonso Smart Okafor member representing Nnewi North constituency seconded the motion for adjournment.
