Anambra State Waste Management Authority (ASWAMA) has announced that the monthly environmental sanitation exercise will hold throughout the state on Saturday November 25th, 2023.
ANN reports that in a press statement made available to the public and signed by the Managing Director of ASWAMA, Mr Mike Ozoemena, states that the exercise will hold within the hours of 7am – 10am, and that no vehicular or human movement will be tolerated as offenders will be apprehended and prosecuted.
The Statement further enjoins Transition Committee Chairmen of Local Government Areas to ensure proper mobilization and compliance in their areas.
It also urged ndi Anambra to participate actively in the exercise; clean their surroundings, desilt water channels and properly dispose their waste at litter points closest to them for adequate collection and disposal by waste management contractors.
The Statement finally admonished residents of Anambra State to join hands with the Soludo led administration in actualizing a clean and memorable Yuletide season for all.
