Anambra Central traditional rulers led by Igwe Akweze, Christopher Okpala have donated two million naira to support Anambra state government in ensuring security of the state and assisting flood victims.
ANN reports that the traditional rulers made the presentation when they paid a courtesy visit to the Secretary to the State Goveenment (SSG), Professor Solo Chukwulobelu at the Government House, Awka.
Igwe Christopher Okpala in his speech expressed gratitude to government for its efforts in providing infrastructure, healthcare, and education to the people of the state.

The traditional rulers also raised some concerns and challenges facing their communities, especially the issue of community security funding.
Professor Solo Chukwulobelu, while speaking, explained that the flood disaster and security challenges are critical issues for the government, noting that the Anambra State government recognizes the important role of the traditional institution in maintaining peace and security, promoting cultural heritage, unity and enhancing socio-economic development in the state.
The SSG assured them that the government is committed to addressing the challenges facing traditional institutions and their communities. He also emphasized the need for continuous engagement and collaboration between the government and traditional institutions to sustain the progress and development of the state.
