Anambra: Ufuma Community Elects New Town Union Executives

Ufuma community in Orumba North LGA of Anambra State have conducted town union elections which midwifed new executives of the town.

ANN reports that the election produced Commodore Amobi Clement Offor as the newly elected President General (PG) and Comr. Nwafor Ikechukwu (Ikemba) as the newly elected  General Secretary Ufuma Development Union (UDU).

The election was conducted by the returning officer, Comr. Joe Offor and monitored by Ministry of Local Government and Town Union Affairs, Awka.

Also in the monitoring team were members of Anambra State Association of Town Unions (ASATU)  including Barr. Uchenna Obiora,  PG Ndiokpalaeze and Dr. Raymond Offor, PG Awa.

Other members of the executives are Comr. Chikodili Okoli, 1st Vice President; Comr. Agigwo Cross, 2nd Vice president; Comr. Nwankwo Obiora, Assistant Secretary; Mr. Orjiekwe Obinna, Treasurer; Chief Donat Okolo,  Financial Secretary; Comr. Ademola Orji, PRO. Other officers are  Mr. Chukwudi Okechukwu, Provost 1;  Mr. Chisom Uzoalor, Provost 2 and Mr. Ekene Umeaba, Provost 3.

The new executives were charged to meet the expectations of ndi Ufume and will be sworn in on August 4, 2023.
