The Chairman of Anambra West Local Government Area, Hon. Fidelis Nnazor has unveiled a ten shuttle buses mass transit scheme for an enhanced development and ease of transportation in the area.
Angel Network News (ANN) reports that Hon. Nnazor in his address during the event held at the at the local government’s secretariat Nzam, said that Anambra West is the food basket of the state, and that the initiative was conceptualized as a child of necessity to ensure smooth movement of goods and services of his people.
The Mayor commended Governor Chukwuma Soludo for his numerous developmental strides in the local government area.
Hon. Nnazor further appreciated the Anambra State Commissioner for Local Government, Chieftaincy and Community Affairs, Hon. TonnyCollins Nwabumwanne, for his support to the council area, and urged the shuttle bus drivers to make adequate use of the opportunity to become self reliant.
Commending Hon. Nnazor for a job well done, a one-time Young Progressives Party, Anambra North Senatorial District candidate, Dr. Chinedu Ekwealor, noted that the shuttle buses will go a long way in alleviating the sufferings of Ndi Anambra West, as they will help to enhance means of transportation in the area at all times.
One of the stakeholders in the local government area, Chief Jacob Mmadukolu, equally expressed excitement over the gesture, applauding the Anambra West Mayor for doing a fantastic job.
The Executive Assistant to Governor Soludo on Local Government, Chieftaincy and Community Affairs, Hon. Humphrey Ojonukpe, the Leader of Anambra West Congress of Councilors, Hon. Kelvin Anago, the Head of Local Government Administration, Mrs. Muokebe Obianuju, among numerous others attended the event.
