The Chairman of Anaocha Local Government Area Comrade Rome Ibekwe has donated food and other items to the Sickle Cell Orphanage and underprivileged Home in Agulu.
While speaking, Comrade Ibekwe told the members of the home that it has been his desire to visit them and monitor their wellbeing and to make sure that they have access to quality medical attention and food.
The Mayor expressed satisfaction with what he met on ground and called on affluent members of the society to join hands in giving members of the home a better life.
Appreciating the Mayor and his team, the Director of the Home, Aisha Edward-Maduagwu thanked him for uplifting members of the group by paying their schools fees, taking care of their medical expenses, and ensuring they live a better life.
Mrs Edward-Maduagwu also praised Governor Chukwuma Soludo and his wife who through the Commissioner of Health have reached out to severally.

Items donated include bags of rice and beans, tubers of yam, cartons of noodles, detergents, toiletries, and cash.
Comrade Ibekwe was accompanied by the Chairman of the All Progressives Grand Alliance, APGA, Anaocha LGA, Sir Anthony Ugorji, a stakeholder of the party, Chief Mrs Ngozi Obikwelu, and several others.
