The Local Government Chairman of Anaocha Comrade Rome Ibekwe has commissioned a five thousand gallon-storage capacity solar-powered pipe-borne water borehole erected at Neni Town Hall Civic Center.

Comrade Ibekwe in his speech said the
pipe-borne water is meant to serve residents of the community, especially Oye Neni Market and Anaocha Local Government Area Secretariat.
The Mayor revealed that the project was his major campaign promise, which is in accordance with vision of Governor Chukwuma Soludo who is dedicated to providing the citizens of the state access to basic social amenities.
In his remark, the Head of Local Government Administration, Anaocha Council Area, Dr. Kate Okeke maintained that the growth and development of the entire Anaocha have been the major priority of the Comrade Ibekwe-led administration since assumption of office.
Lending their voices, the President General of Neni Town Union, Sir. Christian Ikebudu and the Supervisor of Works of the Council, Mr Christian Okelom praised the mayor for his initiative and for changing the narrative and showing that politicians can be responsive to the needs of the people.
Residents in the area, expressed a sigh of relief and said that lack of water has been their major problem and thanked Comrade Ibekwe for coming to their aid.
