Anaocha Mayor ‘Ibekwe’ Empowers Five Hundred Persons With Equipments

The Chairman of Anaocha Local Government Area Hon. Rome Ibekwe has empowered five hundred (500) youths with equipments.

Angel Network News (ANN) reports that
Ibekwe empowered the youths with their skills start-up equipments ranging from hair and shoe making equipments, baking, tailoring, solar installation amongst others.

In his remark during the event, Ibekwe, explained that the empowerment was in an effort to reduce youth unemployment within the council area while also bringing about massive transformation in the council area.

The Mayor appreciated the present administration of Governor Chukwuma Soludo for leading the way. Ibekwe applauded ndi Anaocha and the stakeholders for their continuous support.

In his speech, the Commissioner for Youth Development, Mr. Patrick Agha Mba, appreciated Anaocha Council Chairman for joining efforts with the state government in empowering the youths and explained that the state government is deliberate with its youth populace geared towards making Anambra State a skill hub in Africa using a deliberate approach.

In her remark, Mrs. Aisha Maduagwu, who is a sickle cell disorder advocate, appreciated the state government and council chairman for giving the group a sense of belonging through the beneficiary of sickle cell patients in the skill acquisition programme, asking for more support to the group.

Some of the beneficiaries noted that they underwent training between six to eight months and appreciated the council chairman for his support.

The event also featured drama and song performances by graduating students, lecture by National Drug Law Enforcement Agency, NDLEA officials and goodwill messages by government functionaries.
