The zonal finals of 2025 ANSSI competition has kick-off at the three senatorial zones Anambra State.
Angel Network News (ANN) reports that
the events being competed for, is team games which include volleyball and football for male and female in U-12, U-14 and U-18.
From Anambra North at Chuba Ikpazu stadium Onitsha, Metropolitan Sec. Sch. defeated C.k.C 4 – 1 in U-14 boys category, Community Sec.Sch. Iyiowa defeated Urban boys by 3 goals to 1. Modebe Memorial Sec. Sch.Onitsha had a walkover against Washington Grammar sch.
Onitsha, Community primary Okpoko beat Central School Odoakpu 4-2 in penalty shootout in U -12 boys category. Zik avenue primary school had a walkover against Omagba primary school Onitsha.
From Anambra South, Igwebuike Central School Umunze defeated Primary school Ekwulobia 6 -5 via penalty shootout, Harvesters International Sch.
Otolo Nnewi had a walkover against Comprehensive Sec. Sch. Azia in the U-14 boys category.
Ogboji primary sch. had a walkover against Community primary school Umuonyiba Ufuma in the U-12 category, Community High Sch. Nanka beat CBSS Igboukwu 5 – 3 on penalties while All Saints Sec. School Umunze had a walkover against Holy Christ College Awgbu in the U-14 boys category.
In the U-18 boys category, CSS Isuofia had a walkover against St. Dominic Saviour Seminary,Akpu while All Saints seminary Ekwulobia defeated All Saints Secondary School Umunze 5 – 4 on penalties.
At St Mary’s High School venue for Anambra Central, BMGS Adazi trashed their opponents from Umuoji 5 -2 in U-18 boys category while Community high school Amanuke defeated St. Mary’s high school Ifitedunu 2-0.
The volleyball result shows that in the U-18 boys category, Marist College Nteje defeated Community High School Nsugbe in two sets in Anambra North zone.
From Anambra South, CHS Nanka defeated CSS Isuofia by two sets to one in the U-14 boys category, Holy Child Sec. School defeated Awgbu in two straight sets while in the U-18 boys category CSS Isuofia beat CHS Nanka in two straight sets. In their next game, CSS Isuofia had a walkover against Akpu Seminary and lost to Holy Child Sec Sch. by one set to two.
In the female category, Holy Child defeated CSS Isuofia and All Saints seminary in two straight sets.

the competition continues at various centers across the 3 senatorial zones. Do to the public holiday declared by federal government, events for Thursday have been shifted to Friday while the events earlier scheduled for Friday will now come on Tuesday 17 of June, 2025.
