APGA Ticket Crises: Don’t go to Supreme Court, Umeh begs Umeorji

Former National Chairman of the All Progressive Grand Alliance (APGA), Chief Victor Umeh, has appealed to the factional governorship candidate of the Party, Honourable Chukwuma Michael Umeorji, not to go further with the electoral case to the Supreme Court for the unified interest of the party.

Umeh, made the appealed while speaking to Journalists in Awka, in reaction to the Kano Appeal Court Judgement that confirmed Professor Charles Chukwuma Soludo, as the elected and recognised candidate of APGA for the slated November 6, 2021 governorship election in the state.

ANN learned that Chief Victor Oye and Barrister Jude Okeke have been at loggerhead over who becomes the authentic national chairman of the party.

A Jigawa State High Court judgment had earlier favoured Okeke as the chairman of the party, leading Oye and the leadership of the party to appeal the matter.

In Tuesday’s ruling, the Court of Appeal, Kano division insisted that the Jigawa court had no jurisdiction over the matter.

The Court then nullified the June 30th judgment of Birkin Kudu Division of Jigawa State High Court which erroneously sacked Chief Victor Ike Oye as the APGA National Chairman.

The judgement clearly leaves Oye’s leadership of the party as authentic, meaning that the primary election it held which threw up Soludo is the recognised one.

Speaking further, Umeh said the Kano Judgement was for the good of Ndi-Anambra who have been benefiting from the party for the past 15 years.

“I want you Journalists to help me beg Umeorji, to forgive and forget the past and returned with his esteem supporters to the party as a full member who has been supporting APGA in one way or the other. He should stop wasting resources meant for the development of his Constituency, as a current lawmaker, representing Aguata Federal Constituency at the National Assembly in Abuja. He should leave Jude Okeke alone and follow us who are founders of the party because Jude Okeke is a stranger in APGA”, Umeh added.

While commending the Kano Appeal Court for delivery of a sound Judgement in favour of the party choice (Soludo), Umeh said APGA has been rebranded again to retain power for another eight years.

Angel Network News further gathered that supporters of the former CBN boss had upon receipt of the news of the judgement broken into wild jubilation at the Soludo campaign headquarters in Awka.
