Arsenal Ends 6-Year Drought with Victory Against Everton Away

  • With 75 per cent ball possession and four shots on target, the Gunners put up a brilliant performance and earned a deserved win.

Arsenal narrowly won all three points against Everton at Goodison Park on Saturday in the English Premier since 2017.

Brazilian striker Gabriel Martinelli first scored, but VAR ruled it offside, a decision that stirred many Arsenal fans.

Minutes later, Martinelli limped off the pitch with an injury and was substituted with Leandro Trossard.

Courtesy of an assist from Bukayo Saka, Leandro Trossard delivered a fine strike into Pickford’s net in the 69th minute, putting the Gunner ahead.

Fabio Vieira came close to making it two for the Gunner but was blocked by Vitaliy Mykolenko.

Sunday’s victory pushed Arsenal up to fourth position on the EPL log, behind Tottenham Hotspur and Liverpool by goal difference, whilst Manchester City stay atop the EPL log with a two-point margin.

Meanwhile, Bournemouth held Chelsea to a goalless draw, dropping to 14th on the EPL log.
