…Commends the innovative ideas of Engr. Emeka Okonkwo
The Member representing Dunukofia Constituency in the Anambra State House of Assembly and the APC Candidate for House of Representatives for DNA Federal Constituency, Hon. Lawrence Ezeudu (Cheleku) has commended the Anambra Road Traffic Management Agency (ARTMA) stating that it is the most active agency currently in Anambra State.
Ezeudu who made the statement during his visit to the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of the agency, Engr. Emeka Okonkwo (Konti) lauded him for enforcing a workable traffic management system in Anambra State, which has brought back sanity to our roads.
“I am here with my team to formally congratulate you on your appointment by Mr. Governor as the Managing Director of the most active agency in Anambra State. It is on record that ARTMA has reduced traffic congestion to the barest minimum since the inception of your administration. ARTMA has also employed youths to work actively towards achieving the set goals of the agency”.
“Your agency has also contributed immensely to the Internally Generated Revenue profile of the state which underlines your commitment to transparency, accountability and desire to contribute towards ensuring a better and prosperous Anambra”, Ezeudu concluded.
The former Chief Whip urged the MD to continue evolving and enforcing innovative ideas and solutions to traffic challenges in the state especially as the State continues to experience increased urbanization with the attendant increase in vehicular movement.
The leading House of Representatives Candidate for Dunukofia, Njikoka and Anaocha Federal Constituency also called on all Ndi Anambra, particularly drivers to adhere to the traffic rules to make Anambra roads safer for all road users.
Ezeudu equally used the opportunity to inform the MD of his political ambition to represent Dunukofia, Njikoka and Anaocha Federal Constituency stating that his candidacy represents equity and fairness given that Dunukofia has been marginalised in the DNA Federal Constituency. Ezeudu added that he is running based on his verifiable performance and legislative experience and to continue his relentless drive to build human capacity, help attract impactful infrastructural development and other interventions in all communities in the Federal Constituency.
Reacting, the Managing Director of ARTMA, Engr. Emeka Okonkwo appreciated Hon. Lawrence Ezeudu for his encouragement and support. Engr. Okonkwo added that ARTMA has employed a lot of young people and restated his commitment to introducing innovative methods and technology in traffic management in the state.
The vibrant MD also encouraged and wished Ezeudu well in his quest to represent Dunukofia, Njikoka and Anaocha Federal Constituency.
Recall that the youthful ARTMA boss was the former Transition Chairman of Dunukofia Local Government Area.
