The Anambra State Universal Basic Education Board (ASUBEB) has commenced a staff verification exercise covering teachers, head teachers and other relevant education personnel across the state’s 21 Local Government Education Authorities (LGEAs).
The exercise is aimed at strengthening personnel accountability, ensuring accurate staff records and improving administrative efficiency in the basic education sector.
Declaring the exercise open, the Executive Chairman of ASUBEB, Dr. Justina Chinyere Anyadiegwu, commended education personnel for their commitment, cooperation and dedication to duty.
The event brought together Officers-in-Charge of the 21 LGEAs, head teachers, teachers, LGEA staff and other ASUBEB personnel participating in the verification process.
Dr. Anyadiegwu urged the participants to sustain their commitment to duty, emphasising the importance of cooperation and collective responsibility in achieving the Board’s objectives and advancing basic education across Anambra State.
She also expressed appreciation to Governor Chukwuma Charles Soludo, CFR, for the timely payment of salaries, noting that prompt salary payments play an important role in supporting workers and boosting staff morale.
The ASUBEB chairman reiterated the need for personnel to remain dedicated to their responsibilities while acknowledging the state government’s support for education workers.
The verification exercise covers all 21 LGEAs and involves personnel responsible for teaching, school administration and the coordination of basic education at the local level.
The participation of Officers-in-Charge, head teachers, teachers and other staff members underscores the importance of maintaining accurate personnel documentation and strengthening administrative oversight.
The exercise is expected to enhance accountability, improve staff documentation and support more efficient management of basic education across Anambra State.
