Atiku’s Presidential Ambition
Atiku’s presidential ambition in Nigeria is almost as old as Methuselah. In 1993, Atiku ran to become the president of Nigeria under SDP but he lost to Abiola in the primaries. In 1999, he became the Vice President under President Mathew Eremu Obasanjo. However, by 2003, Atiku had fallen out with his principal. Allegations had it that he wanted to un-sit his boss. In 2007, he decamped to ACN from PDP and ran for president against the late President Umaru Musa Ya’ Adua. When he lost again, he returned to PDP in 2011 and ran for the same office lost against President Jonathan in the primaries. By 2014, he left the PDP again, joined APC, ran for President and lost in the primaries to the current president, Muhammadu Buhari. In 2017, he left the APC and returned to the PDP and ran for President in 2019 and lost against Buhari the second time. Next year is 2023 and he is running for the Presidency again.
Atiku’s Reason for Wanting to President
For 30 solid years, one man has run for the same office. What do call that: sheer desperation to be president or deep-seated desire to turn Nigeria into a success story? I feel it is more out of desperation and a bid to recoup the billions of naira he has lost than than any attempt to solve Nigeria’s numerous problems. All of Atiku’s failed bids have cost him millions, perhaps billions of dollars. This is not a man interested in fixing the country, this is a man on a mission to wreck what is left of Nigeria and recoup his losses.
Tinubu’s Presidential Ambition
Tinubu’s case is even more nauseating. A man who thinks he should be President just because it is his turn: nothing more, nothing less. No economic plan, no policy, no plan on tackling the security challenges in the country. His campaign point is that he should become the president because it is his turn to be President. Why? Because he helped Buhari to become president.
Tinubu’s Reasons for Wanting to be President
I don’t know which is more insulting and concerning: that Tinubu thinks because he helped the current administration come into power, he should be repaid with the presidency, or that he should be rewarded for helping the worst ever administration in this country come to power. That this is even being discussed is indicative of how low greedy politicians like Tinubu have driven Nigeria down.
Why You Must Get Your PVC
These two men are extremely desperate to become president and all for the wrong reasons. This makes 2023 so very pivotal. If you were between 20-22years when Buhari became President, you will be 28-30 years by next year when he leaves office. When the next president comes in, by the time he does 8 years, you will be 36-38 years when he leaves. This is your entire youth, which is arguably your most productive years entrenched in bad governance. Getting your PVC cannot be overemphasized. If we don’t take back this country from these men who have decided to run it down to the ground by 2023, then we would have lost another golden opportunity
