A barrow pusher lost his life after he was involved in a road accident opposite New Autospare Parts Market, Nkpor.
According to an eyewitness, Mr Kingsley Orjiako, the barrow pusher was running away from a revenue collector he saw along the road when a Keke driver trying to reverse to the other side of the road hit him and he fell under amoving tipper.
Angel Network News (ANN) gathered that the driver of the tipper which they gave the plate number of the tipper as CDD 523 ZE and the Keke rider ran away when they saw that the man was dead, leaving him in the pool of his blood.
Speaking to the press, the Caretaker Chairman of New Autospare Parts Market Nkpor, Chief Stephen Oforleh said he had closed for the day when he heard the noise from eyewitnesses who told him about the incident.
Chief Oforleh wondered why people find it difficult to adhere to State Government directives who has since stopped revenue collections from barrow pushers and petty traders.
Oforleh said immediately contacted the police and other relevant agencies to come to the scene of the incident.
