Bayelsa Community Celebrate Cultural Day In Anambra

Anambra’s Bayelsa State community gathered in the state capital for a grand display of tradition and unity at the Cultural Day celebration held in the state.

Governor Chukwuma Soludo in his remarks, highlighted the administration’s efforts in fostering peace, progress, and security.

Represented by Dr. OnyekaChukwu Ibezim, the Deputy Governor, applauded the remarkable strides made by Soludo in transforming the state.

The Governor condemned the criminal elements masquerading as traditionalists, stressing that the government would not rest until the state is rid of these threats to the upcoming generation of Ndi Anambra.

Soludo further urged the state police commissioner, CP. Ikioye Orutugu, to uphold integrity in his duties and continue to safeguard the lives and properties of ndi Anambra

CP. Orutugu in his speech, welcomed his people from Okpoama Kingdom, Bayelsa State who are residing in Anambra in an event which promotes the bond between the South-South and South-East regions of Nigeria.

CP. Orutugu expressed gratitude for the presence of the state government, the police, and well-wishers from both within and outside the state.

The Police boss acknowledged the memory of his late grandmother and urged the people to remain content with what they have, emphasizing the importance of gratitude in life. He reflected on the significance of the event, which brought together people from both the South-South and South-East, and described himself as a product of integrity, discipline, and hard work.

The celebration was further enriched by a gathering of service chiefs, the Brass community from Bayelsa State, and friends of the commissioner, all of whom shared in the joyous occasion.
