…The church will colaborate and assist the FA in their activities
His Lordship Most Rev. Paulinus Ezeokafor, the Catholic Bishop of Awka Diocese has adviced Gen. Chikelue IIoenyosi, the new Chairman of Anambra State Football Association (ANSFA), to make Anambra State football great again.
The Prelate gave the advice while playing host to Iloenyosi in his office at St. Patrick’s Catholic Cathedral, Awka. Bishop Ezeokafor
enjoined him to put in the same zeal that saw him play for all the categories of the Nigeria national teams including U-17, U-19, U-20, U-23, Olympic Eagles and Super Eagles to work as the FA Chairman.
Bishop Ezeokafor who emphasized that football activities would surely redirect the youths, assured that the church will colaborate and assist the FA in their activities.
Ex-International Chikelue, while responding, thanked Bishop Ezeokafor for finding time to receive him and for all the advice he gave him. The Anambra FA chairman highlighted various activities he has undertaken within the first three months of his assumption of office which include holden of memorial service for late footballers and administrators of Anambra State extraction.
He assured Bishop Ezeokafor that he would never disappoint him as regards the expectations and confidence reposed on him.
