Bishop Nwakanma Says Govt Is Insensitive To Sufferings, Plights Of Citizens

Bishop, Methodist Church of Nigeria, Awka Diocese Rt. Rev. Onyekachi Nwakanma says government has remained insensitive to the sufferings and plights of the people.

Angel Network News (ANN) reports that Nwakanma stated this while delivering his address at the 2024 Diocesan Synod held at the Cathedral of Holy Trinity, Amenyi-Awka.

Bishop Nwakanma decried the economical, political, religious and social crisis bedeviling the country, stating that Nigeria is abundantly and richly blessed with both human and natural resources but yet it has continued to deteriorate.

The Prelate congratulated Governor Chukwuma Soludo and his Deputy, Dr Onyekachukwu Ibezim for their second year in office stating that they have been focused on their quest to make Anambra State a secure and clean environment pointing out that apart from being able to pay workers as at when due, Anambra is gradually rising.

He revealed that his recent visit to some parts of the state testifies to that and called on them to continue to do more.

Rt Rev. Nwakanma disclosed that God has called him to raise souls, effect lives and to affect the land and run a holistic ministry,  and that the door of his denomination called Methodist must be open.
