Boniface Becomes Second Most Expensive Super Eagles Player

Boniface’s rise in valuation will come as positive news to the Bundesliga outfit that could make a huge return on the Nigerian just a year after they invested €12m on him.

A host of several European clubs have been monitoring the progress of the striker and are interested in signing him.

While a January move looks very unlikely, Leverkusen will not rule out a summer move for the Super Eagles striker should the right offer arrive.

English Premier League side, Newcastle, are reported to be interested in the striker as they keep their title hopes alive.

According to British tabloid, SunSport, the Toon Army sent scouts to watch Boniface play in Portugal for Nigeria against Saudi Arabia and Mozambique during the last international break.

Newcastle are, however, not the only side interested in Boniface as Real Madrid and Liverpool have reportedly placed the youngster on their wish list.

According to sources from Spanish newspaper Defensa Central, Boniface is a player of interest to Madrid as Carlo Ancelotti wants to bring in a talented striker to replace the departed Karim Benzema.
