Budget: Anambra Commissioner For Youth Outline 2024 Plans

Commissioner for Youth Development Honourable  Patrick Aghamba says the achievements and impact of the ministry this year 2023 is obvious stating that next years budget is realistic and achievable.

Speaking in an interview after the 2024 budget defense before the Anambra assembly committee on Finance and Appropration chaired by Hon. Ejike Okechukwu and committee on Youth and Sports chaired by Hon. Augustine Ike, the commissioner said through one youth, two skills the government has made the beneficiaries to be self reliant. 

“The budget of 410 billion presented by Governor Chukwuma Soludo is very intentional and realistic.

“Ndi Anambra has seen that the solution is here because many citizens and more will benefit from the degital solution innovation district.

“The budget of 2024 for the ministry of youth is above four billion. The reason for the increase is because in 2024, our plans is to double what we have done this year. 

“We have done some programs such as the ‘One youth, two skill program and the second badge will is coming soon.

” We are working holistically to develop sports program in football through initiating grassroot tournament, Anambra traders sports competion, and the Solution Football Club has been formed.

“The youths make up 65 percent of the population and are in the priority of this administration as contained in the agenda of the Governor.

” In line with the manifestor of the Governor, were the youth agenda is under human and capital development, the ministry has come up with an action plane 

Anambra Sports Commission lead by Hon. Patrick Onyedum also appeared before the committees.
