Buhari Divided Nigeria More Than Ever – Ortom

Benue State Governor, Samuel Ortom has stated that the lopsided federal appointments and other forms of sectionalism by President Muhammad Buhari had divided Nigeria more than ever.

Ortom stated this on Thursday, in Enugu during a lecture organized by the Nigeria Union of Journalists, Federal Radio Corporation of Nigeria, Enugu chapel, with the theme, ‘Emerging security situation in the South-East: the place of good governance” held in Enugu.

He lamented the promotion of nepotism through the violation of the principle of federal character.
In his words “The lopsided federal appointments, nepotism and other acts of sectionalism, particularly from 2015 to date, have divided Nigeria now more than at any other time in the country’s history.”
According to Ortom, the Southeast also deserves equal attention in terms of the provision of infrastructure as well as allocation of resource.

The Benue State Governor is known to be citric of the current administration and has accused the Federal Government of injustice.
