Buhari Orders Security Agencies to Ensure Prompt Release of Kidnapped Niger Pupils

President Muhammadu Buhari has charged the nation’s security and intelligence agencies to expedite efforts towards the release of the 200 children kidnapped last week from an Islamic school in Niger State.

A press release on Monday by his spokesman, Garba Shehu, said the President was briefed on the latest incident of school kidnapping and condemned as unfortunate, the kidnapping of children from schools.

The President urged all the agencies involved in the rescue operation to put in their utmost effort in securing their immediate release.
He also directed the concerned government agencies to extend possible support to the families of the kidnapped children.
The issue of insecurity is becoming a national problem in the country as very part of the states is facing insecurity. This is really a trying period for Nigeria as the Governors are proposing a national emergence security conference to find a lasting solution to insecurity in the country.
