CHAPOL Anambra Command Celebrates 10th Years Anniversary

Anambra State Command Of Chaplain Corps Policing Explorers, CHAPOL has celebrated its tenth year anniversary in Awka the state capital.

Chaplain Corps Policing Explorers, CHAPOL, is a non-governmental paramilitary organization authorized by the Anambra State Government through the Ministry of Education, to combat and possibly eradicate moral decadence and other social vices such as cultism, exam malpractice, drug abuse, lateness in schools and monitor loitering and truancy during school hours in all the 263 public secondary schools in Anambra State.

In his address, Anambra state Commandant of CHAPOL, Joseph Ekwunife pointed out that the command has worked so hard to achieve its objectives and said that the command has remained resilient in combating all forms of immoral behaviors.

On his part, the National President of Anambra State Association of Town Unions, ASATU, Barr. Titus Akpudo noted that attitude and character defines a child and challenged the students to always do the biding of their teachers who have their great interest at heart in order to become successful in life and asked them to stay away from all forums of social vices.

For the Vice Chancellor, Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka, Professor Charles Essimone described CHAPOL as an organisation that has remained in the right track of directing the students towards the right path while assuring CHAPOL of the university’s partnership of championing the success of the students.

Responding after receiving an award, the Rector, Federal Polytechnic Oko, Dr Francisca Nwafulugo charged female students not to give in to discouragement and see themselves as having whatever it takes to fulfill their dreams.

Awards presentation to distinguished personalities, drama and questions formed the highpoints of the event.
