Chelsea: Officials genuinely believe 20-year-old player will become ‘world-class’ in the future – Report

Those sitting at the summit of Chelsea are reportedly certain that Noni Madueke will transform into one of game’s elite players over time.

According to football.london, several senior officials at Stamford Bridge firmly believe that Madueke ‘can develop into a world-class talent at Cobham’.

The 20-year-old has only been at the club for a couple of days, following his move from PSV Eindhoven, but the expectation is already high.

His five years in Holland certainly placed him on the right track to eventually head to the Premier League.

He was prevented the opportunity to play in the top-flight by Tottenham Hotspur, who let him join PSV in 2018

But the cycle has now come full circle, with Madueke back in London and ready to take on what England has to offer.

Graham Potter will hope to immerse the attacker properly into his squad this week.

Chelsea officially signed the England Under-21 international on Saturday, just hours before Potter’s side faced Liverpool at Anfield.

Like Mykhailo Mudryk before him, Madueke had to watch his new team from afar shortly after being announced.

Mudryk made his debut against Jurgen Klopp’s men and provided plenty of room for optimism in regards to his future as a Blue.

Fans will expect the same of Madueke, who will be eyeing up the derby at home with Fulham on Friday as his chance to impress the watching world
