…Tinubu’s appointments reflect inclusivity not partisan affiliation
Frontline Anambra governorship aspirant under the platform of All Progressives Congress (APC), Chief Paul Chukwuma, has commended President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for appointing competent Anambra people into positions in his administration, irrespective of party affiliations.

Chukwuma, who spoke in his country home, Umueri, Anambra State, on Saturday during an interaction with media personalities, also dismissed speculations of an alliance between the APC and the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), noting that recent appointments of individuals from Anambra State by Tinubu reflect Mr President’s commitment to national unity, inclusivity, and not partisan favoritism.
According to Chukwuma, the argument over the years had been that APC Government do not like ndi Anambra and ndigbo but now, appointment has come to ndi Anambra and people are complaining.
He said that the issue of appointment remain the prerogative of Mr. President, saying that irrespective of different political party affiliation, all the political parties are still under one Nigeria.
The APC Chieftan emphasized that the appointees are qualified Igbo and Anambra citizens, regardless of their political affiliations.
The immediate past national auditor of APC highlighted Tinubu’s approach to governance as one that prioritizes inclusivity, describing him as a leader who shares political offices with Nigerians across party lines.
He also dismissed rumours of an APC-APGA alliance, reaffirming that the APC is focused on building grassroots support to win the governorship position in the 2025 elections.
Sir Chukwuma explained that APGA party never nominated anybody to Mr. President for the appointment rather the President of Federal Republic of Nigeria in his fatherly role has listened to the complain that Ndigbo are not carried along in appointments and offered appointment to two Anambra indigenes.
According to Chukwuma, the party aims to win the state through the will of the people and not through coercion.
He noted that Mr. President deserves commendation for not only appointed visible APC members but, also appointed people from opposition party even as he accused APGA party of begging Mr. President to remember them in Anambra State.
“The claims that the APGA government nominated such individuals appointed by Mr President are not true. Governor Soludo plays APGA in Anambra and plays APC in Abuja. Such a game of deceit cannot work because, in an election, it is a different ball game.
” The question is whether those who were appointed are ndi Anambra ?. If they are ndi Anambra, what is wrong with it ?
“Are they saying that Mr. President doesn’t have prerogative to make appointment?
“If the appointment had taken to other place, we will still complaining. For me as an aspirant, I don’t see anything wrong with the appointment by Mr. President” He said.
” When we come to election proper, nobody should leave his house and hand over to somebody else. So, the appointment is okay but when it comes to election proper, APGA will be APGA and APC will be APC .
“They are trying to confuse people. If you are shameless, you can answer somebody’s father’s name but if you are not shameless, you answer your name”
” The important thing is that APC need Anambra politically, economically, financially and other wise and these are credible ndi Anambra that have been given the appointment by our government.
“When the election starts, we now decide who is working for who and where their allegiance is .We don’t play politics with everything. We are not APGA party that play politics with everything. We are ruling party and we are looking at development of Ndi Anambra, development of South East and Nigeria in general” Sir Chukwuma concluded
ANN recall that two prominent members of the All Progressive Grand Alliance (APGA), Ambassador Bianca Ojukwu and Mr. Mark Okoye were absorbed to serve in the APC Government led by Bola Tinubu which has triggered comments among the people of ndi Anambra.
