The Chairman of Njikoka Local Government Area, Barr. Chinedu Dominic Ononiba has promised that he will continue to attract devidend of democracy to his people which is in line with Governor Chukwuma Soludo’s vision
Angel Network News (ANN) reports that Hon. Ononiba who marked his hundred days in office on Thursday January 16, 2025, thanked the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) and Governor Chukwuma Soludo for the opportunity to serve ndi Njikoka.
Speaking at the launching of a free health insurance program for one thousand (1,000) indigenes of Njikoka, the Mayor in his remark at the event held at the Local Government field, stated he is committed in improving the lives of Njikoka indigenes through providing accessible and affordable healthcare services to the people.
The Mayor revealed that four roads are currently on-going, courtesy of the Solution government of Soludo and that more development are coming.
Secretary of Njikoka LGA, Hon. John Nwankwo while speaking said Ononiba in his first hundred days have made numerous achievements which illustrates his love for his people.
Prince Nwankwo revealed that the Mayor is in the process of renovating several markets including the market at Oye Agu, Nimo and that of Newfia.
He maintained that the administration of Ononiba wants the betterment of ndi njikoka in line with the agenda of Soludo, especially on education and health care. He also commended the Governor for his giant strides in Anambra State.
The Speaker, Njikoka Council of Councillors, Rt. Hon. Obinna Okafor while speaking commended the Mayor for his good works especially on roads and education, stating that the working relationship is cordial and that the 2025 budget will be realistic.
Speaking in an interview, the Chief Whip of Njikoka Congress of Councillors, Hon. Ifeanyi Ahamba (Nawfia ward one), commended Ononiba for his achievements, stating that the Mayor has been following the foot print of Governor Chukwuma Soludo and that his style of leadership is unique.
The Chief Whip maintained that Ononiba has been carrying everyone along and that the Councillors have been working together without hitches.
“Palative works has been done on alot of roads, and there have been improvement in security in Njikoka. We congratulate the Mayor and we are expecting more in 2025. He has the intreast of ndi Njikoka at heart and we are solidly behind him.
The Majority Leader, Hon. Adaobi Nweke (Councillor Abba ward one) while congratulating the Mayor on his hundred days in office, commended Ononiba for giving free JAMB form and tutorial to students of Njikoka.
” We as Councillors will continue to support him and we are proud of him’. Nweke submitted.
On his part, Hon. Onyebuchi Dike (Councillor ward four, Enugu Ukwu), while speaking described Ononiba as a visionary leader with good intentions for ndi Njikoka. He hailed the Mayor for his leadership qualities and for flagging off ‘Solution Football Tournament’.
“Ononiba is the man ndi Njikoka have been praying for because he has brought solution to our communities”. Dike said.
In their separate speeche, Hon. Chinedu Ezekwe (Councillor Nimo ward three), Hon. Anayochukwu Igbanma (Councillor Nimo ward four), Supervisory Councillor for sports, Hon. Chibuike Okoye, Hon. Donatus Oliobi (Councillor ward two Nimo), Hon. Uchenna Agbaoye (Councillor ward one Nimo), Supervisory Councillor for Health Njikoka and Hon. Afoma Okpala commended the achievements of Ononiba, stating that the second tenue of Governor Chukwuma Soludo is sacrosanct. They promised to give him full support.
