The member representing Njikoka two constituency at the Anambra State House of Assembly Hon. Jude Akpua on Saturday July 13th 2024 at the local government heardquaters, Abagana, gave account of his stewardship in the past one year as a lawmaker.
Hon. Akpua who is the Deputy Majority Leader of the 8th Anambra Assembly while presenting his score card said his constituency has developed following his developmental strides in many sectors.
Angel Network News (ANN) reports that the Justice Development and Peace Caritas (JDPC), Awka organized A DAY Constituency Briefing in order for the honorable member to present his score card, giving account of how he has represented his people for past one year in office.
The lawmaker highlighted several key areas of focus over the past year including infrastructural development, empowerment, education, healthcare, employment amongst others.
The lawmaker noted that these initiatives were driven by the needs and aspirations of ndi Njikoka two constituency, aiming to improve the quality of life for all residents, while assuring he would continue to represent them even better in order to bring greater developments to the constituents.
He commended Governor Chukwuma Soludo on his giant strides in just two years in office and for impacting in the lifes of ndi Anambra and assured to continue to work with him to address security challenges in the area.
In his words “as the member representing Njikoka two constituency, i have three functions which is lawmaking, oversight and representation.
” I have sponsored and co-sponsored many bills and motions. In the area of education, i ensured that ndi Njideka two constituency benefited from the deployment of the newly recruited teachers.
“I did my bit in ensuring that my constituents benefitted from the teachers
recruitment and assisted in securing Jobs and admission into tertiary institutions.
“I attracted the renovation of roads, lock up shops at Abba and Abagana, drilling of boreholes and renovation of primary schools, instalation of street lights in Nimo, and gave scholarships and made sure that pensioners were paid. I call for your continous prayer and support.
” Am promising that before the end of my tenure, the whole ten wards will feel the dividends of democracy’. Akpua concluded.
In his address Transition Committee Chairman Njikoka Local Government Barr. Chinedu Dominic Ononiba praised Hon. Jude Akpua for his dedication and effective representation, noting that he has shown exemplary leadership and genuine commitment to the development of Njikoka two constituency.

Barr. Ononiba commended Hon Okpua for attracting dividends of democracy to Njikoka two constituency. He described the lawmaker as a man of his word, an inspiration who is toeing the path of social welfare governance that Governor Chukwuma Soludo is known for.
” Many people don’t have enough information about the achievement of Hon. Jude Akpua but having listened to him, we all are happy for his score card so far. I believe that his success should be attributed to the Governor of Anambra State, Prof. Chukwuma Soludo.
” It is because of the cordial relationship between Governor Soludo and Hon. Akpua that made everything possible. We have a listening, organized and intelligent Governor who takes advice
especially when it will benefit the masses.
” As long as Njikoka is concerned, the second tenure of Soludo is not negotiatable because we want to continue in benefitting the dividends of democracy”. Ononiba said.
In his keynote speaker, the Executive Director Justice, Development and Peace Caritas (JDPC) Awka Rev. Fr. Levi Ndubuisi Ukpr said the hallmark of constituency briefing is cultural and a platform where legislators give account of
their stewardship and representation.

Rev. Fr. Ukpor revealed that JDPC Awka through a program called ‘Community Legislative Members Interactive Platform’ has been on the fore front of championing and advocating for a cordial relationship between the legislators and the people they represent.
” Hon. Jude Akpua has proven that political holders can serve. He has sponsored many bills and motions and completed numerous projects and i believe he is going to do more”. Ukpor stated.

They commended Hon. Akpua noting that he has not only fulfilled his campaign promises but has also gone above and beyond to ensure that Njideka two constituency progress on all fronts.
” A tree cannot make a forest. Hon. Jude Akpua cannot achieve all on his own. He needs everyone of us to support him in prayers and in practice.
” We commend Hon. Akpua for picking up the courage to organize this constituency briefing. It shows his commitment and determination to serve. This is a rare attitude towards politicians of this days.
Speaking in an exclusive interview with Angel Network News (ANN) Woman Leader Ward two Nimo Mrs. Nkiruka Oliobi, Hon. Osondu Ozumba, APGA Chairman Nimo Ward three Hon. Chris Emeka, Hon. Cypril Anagor, Hon. Chika Omile, Hon Chidike Okwaji, Hon. Anthony Atupuluazi and Engr. Oraka Nnemeka said the gathering is an opportunity for the house member to discuss with his constituents on some needs, assessment and deliberate on strategic solutions and also reflect on the development of our communities and the overall benefits of our constituency.




They also draw the attention of the lawmaker and Governor Chukwuma Soludo to their challenges urging them to come to their aid.
ANN reports that the event attracted a large turnout of stakeholders, Government Officials, President Generals, ward Chairmen, religious leaders, traditional rulers, women leaders amongst others.
