Businessman and celebrity Pascal Okechukwu, better known as Cubana Chief Priest, has been named director for Imo State in the City Boy Movement, a pro-government youth organization rallying support for President Bola Tinubu’s anticipated 2027 re-election bid.
The appointment, revealed Friday on the group’s Instagram account, underscores efforts to harness grassroots energy for Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda amid Nigeria’s economic and security challenges.
The post praised Okechukwu’s credentials, stating he “brings experience, influence, and a people-centred approach to mobilising support.”
It added that the socialite is poised to “drive grassroots mobilisation, strengthen party structures, and advance the Renewed Hope Agenda’s objectives.”
Okechukwu, famed for his nightlife empire and lavish lifestyle, has not publicly commented on the role, which aligns with the City Boy Movement’s push to engage young voters in Nigeria’s southeast, a region historically aligned with opposition parties.
