DNA Tests Show Anu Is Not Davido’s Daughter, Adeleke Says

The father of Nigerian music superstar Davido on Tuesday dismissed ongoing paternity allegations as baseless, revealing that multiple DNA tests have confirmed a 15-year-old girl named Anu is not his son’s child, amid a public dispute that has drawn widespread attention.

Adedeji Adeleke, a prominent businessman, emphasized that five separate DNA examinations conducted at various facilities all yielded negative results, absolving Davido of any parental ties to Anuoluwapo, also known as Anu.

“Davido has never denied owning a child, but he cannot take responsibility for a child that does not belong to him,” Adedeji Adeleke stated, adding that the young girl “deserves to know her father.”

He disclosed providing financial assistance for Anu’s education and living expenses over the years, including school fees paid until last year, without informing his son.

“I did not discuss it with David or anybody,” Adedeji Adeleke said regarding the support.

The controversy reignited earlier this month when Anu took to Instagram to plead for a new DNA test, claiming she faced bullying and emotional turmoil from peers who taunted her over rumors linking her to the singer.

“Anu’s Aunt personally told me the family does not own Anu’s Account, Kemi Olunloyo has been in full control all along and they don’t know why she keeps dragging Davido”

“Kemi Olunloyo is the one impersonating the young child ANU, and I don’t even think it’s legal for Kemi Olunloyo to be impersonating a minor”, Mr Adeleke added.

He also revealed that his family has conducted multiple DNA reports to confirm the paternity of Anu, the alleged daughter, yet still took care of her for four years “out of compassion”.

“I have been paying Anu’s school fees, and taking care of her for years, I gave Anu’s mother scholarship in my University with a salary every month, knowing fully well Anu is not my grand daughter, I did all of these out of Compassion”

Davido, whose real name is David Adeleke, has repeatedly refuted the claims, insisting the tests were initiated at his father’s behest for clarity.

In a leaked conversation purportedly involving the artist, he warned of legal repercussions if the matter persisted, threatening to pursue imprisonment for Anu’s mother.

Anu’s mother, Ayotomide Labinjoh, challenged the validity of the prior tests, alleging only one was performed in 2014 at a potentially biased clinic, and demanded an independent retest overseen by US authorities, given Davido’s American citizenship.

Adeleke Family Dispute Escalates as Anu’s Mother Alleges Intimidation Over Paternity Claims

Ayotomide Labinjoh, who claims her daughter Anuoluwapo is Davido’s child, addressed Dr Adedeji Adeleke directly, rejecting his assertions that multiple DNA tests proved otherwise and demanding the musician speak for himself.

“To my shock my own sister Titi Labinjoh reportedly has been talking to Dr Deji Adeleke since the pandemic,” Labinjoh wrote, invoking a biblical reference to family betrayal: “Matthew 10:36.”

She alleged the sister, raised alongside her by their mother, had accepted money from the Adeleke family, adding: “It took money for you to use a family member of ours to spy on us.”

Labinjoh denied any 2020 meeting with Adedeji Adeleke for additional DNA tests, insisting: “Anu and I NEVER met with you in 2020 for 4 additional DNA tests.”

She further claimed no recent contact with Davido’s cousin B-Red, stating: “I have not seen BRed since the night when they dined at my place of work GQ club in Ibadan February 2013. Anu has never met BRed.”

Challenging the Adelekes’ narrative, Labinjoh clarified her social media activity and that of supporters like Dr Kemi, who she said managed an online page independently since 2019.

“I’m not a social media user and I didn’t post for 4 years. In 2023, I started to post on her 10th birthday photoshoot,” she explained.

Escalating her tone, Labinjoh warned: “If anything happens to me, my daughter and mom, the police should hold you responsible.”

She urged Adedeji Adeleke to refrain from speaking on his son’s behalf, declaring: “SIR, as the Patriarch of the family you should not be talking on David’s behalf… Let David address me. Your power and money is being abused here. David is obviously a boy and not a man.”

The statement, dated January 21, 2026, comes a day after Adedeji Adeleke publicly dismissed the claims as unnecessary, citing five negative DNA results.

Labinjoh called for the test documents to be released: “Post the tests sir.”
