Former Niger Delta militant leader Asari Dokubo on Monday rejected claims that prominent regional figures share 2.7 trillion naira ($1.7 billion) a year in federal pipeline security contracts, insisting he has no part in any such arrangement.
“I’m not in that contract,” Dokubo said in a video circulating widely on social media.
Tompolo “involved,” but not at alleged scale

Dokubo said fellow ex-militant leader Government Ekpemupolo, known as Tompolo, does hold pipeline contracts but earns far less than the figures being claimed. He questioned why critics were singling out Tompolo.
“You’re talking about Tompolo, what of the Olu of Warri and Osahon Idahosa, the son of Captain Osa, that are collecting 2.7 trillion every month for guiding pipeline,” he said.
He then corrected the timeframe, saying the sum was annual, not monthly.
Eze, Kalu named

Dokubo also alleged that businessman Arthur Eze previously held the pipeline protection contract. He said he had recently seen vessels linked to former Abia State governor Orji Uzor Kalu operating in the region’s waters.
Neither the Olu of Warri, Idahosa, Eze nor Kalu was quoted in the video, and ANN could not independently verify Dokubo’s claims or the contract figures.
