Nollywood actress Doris Ogala has publicly turned down a $10,000 offer from Pastor Chris Okafor to withdraw her claims against him, posting a video online where she displayed the cash and vowed to stand by her accusations of broken marriage promises.
The actress shared the footage on Instagram on December 23, explaining that the sum was delivered in two parts — $5,000 the night before and another $5,000 that afternoon — as part of efforts to settle their feud, which included a stipulation for her to attribute the allegations to other clerics.
“Chris, you see this money that you gave me, it will never be a transaction of anything in my life or transaction of any part of my body,” Ogala said in the recording.
“I cancelled every evil altar that you are coming from. He that is in me and protecting me is greater. I deliberately collected this money to tell you that everything I have said is the truth. I’m not lying and I will never lie,” she continued.
“Chris, I’m not as cheap as you are, ten thousand dollars is nothing to me, and I’m not blackmailing you but I wanted the world to see that you actually gave me money. Chris, I will not lie on any pastor or put it on any pastor’s head,” Ogala added.
The dispute stems from Ogala’s earlier public statements alleging that Okafor, founder of Grace Nation Bible Ministry, had pledged to marry her before abruptly ending their relationship and wedding someone else.
Okafor has not issued an immediate response to the latest development, which follows prior negotiations between the pair that Ogala had mentioned in social media updates.
