…..calls on good spirited Nigerians to extend sympathy to the indisposed
Anambra North senatorial candidate under the All Progressive Grand Alliance (APGA) has called on the Federal Government and good spirited Nigerians to lend a helping hand to the IDPs. The wife of the former governor of Anambra state made this call while distributing relief materials to all lDP camps in the state.
Mrs Obiano alongside her team reached out by sharing various food items including medical care. The first visit was at St Joseph Schools, Aguleri which had over 4000 displaced persons. The women PG, Enugwu Otu Community, Mrs. Juliana, expressed delight over Her Excellency’s kind gesture and prayed for abundance towards her. In addition, the former first Lady who brought in Health workers to administer on-sight first aid treatment on sick persons alongside the relief materials, also identified and offered to take babies who were suffering from several illnesses arising from malnutrition and harsh weather condition to the hospital for proper treatment.
A visit to another section of Anambra West badly affected by flooding led the team to Unity School, Umueze, Anam. Hon. Maureen Nwakasi who is in charge of the camp thanked Mrs Obiano for her kind gesture and encouraged other good spirited Nigerians to come to their aid. Other camps also visited today are St. Augustine, Umuoba Anam & Community Primary School, Umundenze. The team plans to visit the 13 camps across Anambra North.
On the side, Chinedu Nnatuanya, DG Osodieme Campaign Organisation explained that the purpose behind this programme is to support and assist the people in this trying times. He appealed for support from the Federal Government and good spirited Nigerians to emulate the kind gesture of Mrs. Ebele Obiano and ensure we make the world a better place.
