The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has confirmed the arrest of 36 suspected internet fraudsters in Port Harcourt, Rivers State.
The suspects were apprehended on Tuesday during a sting operation carried out by operatives of the EFCC’s Port Harcourt Zonal Directorate, following credible intelligence linking them to alleged internet-related fraud.
According to the anti-graft agency, items recovered during the operation included several exotic cars, a Q-link motorcycle, mobile phones, and laptops containing incriminating documents.
The EFCC stated that the suspects will be charged to court once investigations are concluded.
