EFCC Arrests Content Creator in Kaduna for Naira Abuse

Operatives of the Kaduna Zonal Directorate of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) have arrested a social media content creator, Muhammed Kabir Sa’ad, for alleged abuse of the Nigerian currency, the Naira.

Sa’ad, who operates under the handle @youngcee0066 on TikTok and Instagram, was seen in a viral video throwing Naira notes on the floor, deliberately stepping on them, and taunting EFCC officials in the Hausa language, challenging them to arrest him if they could.

Following the release of the video, EFCC operatives tracked Sa’ad to the Tudun Wada area of Kaduna, where he was apprehended through a coordinated surveillance operation. He was taken to the Kaduna Zonal Directorate of the Commission for interrogation.

According to the EFCC, Sa’ad will be charged to court upon the conclusion of investigations.

The EFCC continues to warn against the abuse of the Naira, reiterating that such acts are punishable under Nigerian law.
